Season competition participation terms

The organiser of the season competition is the operator of MythBlock. For contact details and complete information, see the imprint .

Scoring is based on season points collected through 22 season chains from your gameplay activity during the current season. Each chain has up to six tiers (I–VI) with increasing goals and point values (15, 30, 60, 120, 250, 400 points per tier). The 22 chains are stored server-side in the plugin configuration and are grouped into four categories:

• Core: Playtime, Mining, Active Days, Phases, Prestige
• Combat & Luck: Mob Kills, Lucky Blocks, Jackpots, Rare Jackpots
• Economy: Farming, Fishing, Crafting, Selling, Economy, Spawner, Minions
• Community: Votes, Vote Crates, Challenges, Social, Battle Pass, Season Events

Among crates, exclusively the vote crate (obtained free of charge through voting) feeds the vote-crate chain. Crates acquired with real money or in-game coins do not count. The separation of purchased crates from the season scoring is technically guaranteed (filtered via the server-side configured scoring-crate-ids whitelist).

A season runs by default for one calendar month. The season key and start/end date (format YYYY-SN, e.g. 2026-S6) are calculated dynamically and are visible on the homepage in the „Seasons" section. The rotation is checked automatically every day at midnight in the configured time zone; manual triggering is carried out by the administration. When the season end time is reached, the leaderboard is frozen.

Any taxes incurred on cash prizes or material prizes are borne by the winner. In particular, we point to § 22 Nr. 3 EStG (other income): if the sum of winnings and comparable income in the calendar year exceeds 256 €, it is subject to income tax. The organiser provides no tax advice and assumes no reporting obligations for the winner.

The season competition is designed as a game of skill and performance — placement, and thus the claim to a prize, depends exclusively on gameplay performance (prestige, phase progress, challenges, battle pass tier, playtime, activity). Crate contents and other chance-based game mechanics are technically guaranteed to be separated from the leaderboard scoring (see section 3: only crate IDs from the scoring-crate-ids list count; default: exclusively the free vote crate). A gambling-law licence under § 3 GlüStV is therefore not required.

The Battle Pass is a separate digital season product with 100 tiers across two tracks (free + premium). The premium track is unlocked exclusively with the in-game currency Coins (standard price 100,000 Coins) — there is no direct EUR purchase path for the Battle Pass. Both tracks award identical score points; the premium track merely delivers higher-value rewards. The free track can be claimed on a time-limited basis according to the formula floor(maxTier × √(Tag/SaisonTage)); the premium track grants an immediate claim at the XP threshold once unlocked. Unclaimed rewards expire with the season rotation; a transparent notice before each premium unlock (§ 5a UWG) is in preparation.

Since the premium track is not acquired with real money but with coins earned in-game, no consumer-protection waiver of the right of withdrawal under § 356 Abs. 5 BGB applies here. The general waiver of the right of withdrawal for digital content acquired directly with EUR remains described in the right of withdrawal .

Participation in the season competition takes place on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO) by accepting the season book in-game. For this purpose we store in the table ob_season_participation your UUID, the season key, your decision (accepted/declined) as well as timestamps and a hash of the specific book version accepted — the latter to fulfil the obligation of proof under Art. 7 Abs. 1 DSGVO. You can withdraw this consent at any time via /season decline (Art. 7 Abs. 3 DSGVO); a withdrawal does not have retroactive effect but immediately excludes you from the current season scoring and any payouts.

For processing the payout we additionally process the data provided during the payout process (in particular PayPal email, if applicable proof of age) on the basis of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (contract performance). Accounting records are retained for ten years pursuant to § 147 AO. Remaining competition data is deleted once its purpose has been fulfilled ( Art. 5 Abs. 1 lit. e DSGVO). The organiser is liable only for damage attributable to intent or gross negligence. For slight negligence the organiser is liable only in the event of a breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Liability under the Product Liability Act remains unaffected.

The organiser reserves the right to change these participation terms with effect for future seasons. Changes are announced on the website at least 14 days before they take effect. If the book text changes between seasons, you will receive a new book on your first join of the new season for a renewed decision — the old consent applies only to the version whose hash is stored in the database.

German law applies to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. Recourse to the courts is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
